NSEP or National Standard Examination In Physics is conducted every year since 1987. It has been the most ‘Visible’ activity of IAPT. It offers an opportunity to measure one’s standing against a national standard. NSEP is not linked to any entrance of scholarship award.

Preparation tips-
Begin your preparation on time-
Avoid waiting for the last minute to prepare for this examination. You have to prepare smartly to attain then best results. You can qualify the exam only if you are determined to excel. With enough time in hand, you can focus better.
Master your basics-
You cannot excel any exam if your basics are not clear. Make sure to have a very strong foundation so that you can handle any advanced level problem without any difficulty.
Manage your time-
Time management is very crucial as the syllabus is very lengthy. So, try to have short term and long-term goals and follow your time table religiously.
Solve previous year question papers-
Solving previous year question papers will help you comprehend the exam pattern as well as it will help you gauge your progress. You will know your strong and weak points.
Revise-
You must not forget revising all the important topics before your final exam because this will help you to retain all the important information along with the formulas and you will not forget anything. Revise properly at least 2-3 times before examination. Dedicate last 15 days for revision only.
